Granny's House is set on a working croft where the sheep provide an important source of wool which will eventually be woven into Harris Tweed. It sits adjacent to a working loom shed. Lambing time in spring is the busiest time but the croft is usually clear of sheep from June onwards. There is a small chicken coop out the back of the house where you can gather some eggs for breakfast. Taigh Granaidh is an excellent base for the many activities the area has to offer or simply as a base for a lovely relaxing holiday where you need do nothing at all except turn the pages of your book.
